The PEC model from a concept perspective

The result could then be a new service concept or a new site concept. According to the Dutch company Designthinkers, service design is about:

“Aligning and connecting diverse stakeholders, services, partners, locations and touch points into an ecosystem in which value is created.”

And this is precisely the situation that the PEC model describes.

The PEC model from a concept perspective

User perspective
When we look at the above model from the user's perspective, there are a number of UX tools with which we can design an optimal experience. By developing customer journeys and personas, it is quickly clear how a user could use our medium. And with the usability methods, we ensure that the interface, which is part of the experience, is of sufficient quality and optimally usable.

But the user also needs to be triggered to latvia phone data actually use our medium and purchase a product or service. By using modern neuromarketing and persuasive design , we can play more on the user's psyche. The context component gives us an additional mechanism to adapt the user interaction and the presentation of information to the specific situation of the user.

The context-sensitive medium
To clarify the above theory I will provide some examples. The unique difference between the traditional business-user relationship and the above PEC model is the presence of a context layer. This is information about the situation of the user. It can be information about the device or browser he is using, or information about the customer, for example if he has logged in.

Characteristics of the device context can be: is it a tablet, a smartphone, a more 'regular' phone, a game console or a device that is integrated in the car? A practical example of adapting the service proposition to the context is that on a desktop there is a chat function as a contact option. If someone uses a mobile device, a chat function might be less useful, and a call-me-back button can be offered. With a TV it might be more useful to offer a video chat, because the user has a bad keyboard and a phone might not be immediately available.
