HumanKind, a non-profit organization with a century-long commitment to supporting communities and families in need, faced a critical need to improve its cybersecurity defenses. By implementing usecure’s human risk management solution, HumanKind was able to achieve a significant 61% reduction in cyber risk, equipping its staff with the tools and awareness needed to tackle a growing wave of digital threats.

With a large, dispersed workforce and offices separated by more than 320 kilometers, the organization found it challenging to provide consistent cybersecurity training and policy compliance across all locations. HumanKind needed a centralized solution that would provide rigorous, up-to-date training and help mitigate the increasing threat of human error, especially from phishing attacks, while meeting critical compliance standards like PCI and HIPAA.

HumanKind’s IT Manager, Don Schimming, described the challenge: “We needed to increase staff awareness of cyber risks, train on compliance topics like PCI and HIPAA, and gain a clear understanding of our workforce’s cyber risk. This was essential to protect both our mission and the community we serve.”
