“There is no information on the number of people affected by the security breach in Microsoft Office, but researchers recommend that users update Windows ” – TechTudo
Four vulnerabilities have been found in iceland mobile database Office by the Check Point Research (CPR) security team, according to a report released on Tuesday (8). To fix these flaws and prevent potential threats, researchers recommend updating Windows to the latest version.
Analysts believe the vulnerability is old and is likely to affect Excel and Office Online Server, although other Office products may have the same vulnerabilities. According to the research, the flaws could allow malicious programs to run through common Office formats used by any user, such as Microsoft Word's DOCX, for example.

According to the CPR team, the result of this study was obtained through a technique known as “fuzzing”, which explores possible bugs in software through a series of invalid data submissions, in an automated and random manner, which are directed to the programming code.
The most common vulnerability in this case was found specifically in the MSGraph element, which is widely used by Excel for charts and tables, but can be embedded in any other Office application. For a user to become a victim, all they have to do is open the document and the malicious code can be activated by itself.
To prevent this from happening, make sure you are opening a document created by your work or study team, and do not upload files from suspicious senders, received in a suspicious way via email or social networks. Furthermore, update Windows 10 to the latest version, this is a very important measure.
