Conversational Commerce,
The changes to WhatsApp’s privacy policy have more to do with how customers interact with businesses and this ties directly into WhatsApp’s plans for Conversational Commerce, which is certainly already a reality. All of this happens while the platform continues to maintain privacy and encryption within the conversations and calls that users have with their contacts.

It's no secret that users are increasingly looking to make more purchases online. That's why Facebook officially launched Facebook Shops last year, a feature that allows people to make purchases and transactions (in some countries) directly from the Facebook App. However, WhatsApp Business is increasingly integrating these features into its platform. At the beginning of last year, companies can also share the products they have for sale directly on WhatsApp and even make sales within the channel through third-party payment gateways. This represents a huge change in the way customers can purchase goods or services.
