IT Personnel: A Look into the Future

Post by [email protected] »

In such a dynamic field as IT, there is a constant shortage of
highly qualified specialists. With the emergence and development of completely new
technologies and areas of activity, the question arises: where to find specialists
with knowledge and experience in the required field? As a rule, such specialists
"grow" from professionals in related fields, this is a natural process for
the labor market. We decided to find out what specialists will be in demand by Russian companies in the coming years and in what new specialties today's programmers, analysts and Internet marketers
will be able to realize themselves.

According to Alena Vladimirskaya (PRUFFI), one of the noticeable trends in
the labor market is the so-called "dual professions": today, programmers are still in high
demand, but with additional, narrower competencies.
For example, one person can combine the functions of a programmer and a 3D designer, a programmer and a
product manager, and so on.

According to Ivan Tyutyundzhi (HeadHunter), this trend is not new; such wizards are
always and everywhere in demand, especially in the regions and small startups. Professionals,
especially in such a rapidly changing environment as IT, cannot and should not be limited to one specialization.
As Ivan Tyutyundzhi notes, people who can
effectively solve current work tasks are in demand in any field. And for this, as a rule,
it is necessary to understand related specialties.

According to Grigory Bakunov, Director of Technology Distribution at Yandex,
the line between designers and programmers is gradually blurring. This is due, on
the one hand, to the "maturing" of web design, and on the other, to the simplification
of programming. At the same time, with the increase in the number of high-quality
web products, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd. Today,
it is not enough to create a beautiful product; modern specialists strive
to create a unique user experience, and this requires combining
the knowledge and skills of a designer and a programmer.

Today, programmers who can work with high-load us companies board of directors email database sites are in great demand. There are few such specialists yet, since there are not many high-load sites. For example, the hh.ru site simultaneously has not just thousands of unique users, but two different audiences – job seekers and employers – each of which solves its own problems. Ensuring that the site can withstand such loads, does not crash and quickly fulfills visitors' requests is not an easy task.

In addition, the rapid development of the mobile environment sets
new requirements for today's specialists. As Ivan Tyutyundzhi notes,
today, specialists who can adapt
the interfaces of traditional online services to devices with touch screens are especially in demand. And
with the growing penetration of smartphones and tablets, this task will become increasingly
relevant.
