First, let's recap what we mean by "customer touchpoints." Customer touchpoints are literally touchpoints (channels) that connect companies and customers. In the past, they meant the occasion or situation in which a salesperson would visit a customer in person and introduce the company's products. Traditional customer touchpoints include the provision of information to customers through marketing measures implemented by companies, such as TV commercials, advertisements, and product catalogs, and customer conversations when visiting a physical store. On the other using the moj database hand, in cases where consumers purchase products directly via the web without going through a salesperson, such as BtoC EC sites, the EC site itself can be considered a customer touchpoint. With the spread of IT and its usage methods, customer touchpoints have diversified and continue to evolve in recent years, including push distribution to mobile devices, digital advertising, and SNS.

You may also remember when the term omnichannel first appeared and various companies tried various ways to respond to it. Omnichannel is a customer approach strategy that integrates various touchpoints (channels) between companies and customers. For example, omnichannel is a strategy and mechanism that grasps and analyzes customers' website access and browsing history, as well as visit information to physical stores, to deliver recommended product information to individual customers and allow items purchased on an e-commerce site to be picked up at a physical store. The realization of omnichannel diversifies the customer's purchasing experience, improves customer satisfaction, and aims to increase sales.

I hope you now understand that customer contact is an important point that leads to increased sales for a company.
