LinkedIn is a key social platform for B2B companies. It is worth taking care to be present there and regularly publish high-quality posts. Managing a company profile, often on several platforms, is an important task for social media or content marketers. To do it efficiently and effectively, it is worth using the possibilities provided by the tools built into HubSpot CRM.
In this post, I'll show you step-by-step how to post to LinkedIn using HubSpot's social tools and how to take full advantage of this feature.
Creating a LinkedIn post
To start creating a LinkedIn post, go to the “Marketing” tab and then select “Social.” Social media posting features are available in HubSpot Marketing Hub at the Professional level.
HubSpot Social Media Dashboard
You’ll be taken to the dashboard for creating social media posts romania business email list from HubSpot. You can choose from three tabs: “Manage,” “Monitor,” and “Analyze.” The first one lets you create posts.
The other two contain tools for tracking all mentions and interactions with your business (the “Monitor” tab) and monitoring the results of your social activity (“Analyze”). In this post, however, we’ll focus on publishing a post.
Select: "Create social posts". Clicking will take you to the post creator. On the left side we can see the tools for creating a post, on the right side a preview of the finished post. Thanks to this, you can immediately see how your post will look and take care of, for example, the appropriate "lighting" between fragments of text, so that it will be user-friendly.
Selecting a publication account
First, we choose which account we want to publish the post from. We can connect both a company account and employee accounts, such as salespeople, to HubSpot.
Once you select an account, you will gain access to a tab that allows you to create text and attach multimedia to a given social network.
Post Edit WindowPost Edit Window 2
You can also use the "Draft" tab - if you publish from more than one account (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), the texts and settings selected in this tab will automatically appear in all of them. Then you can adjust the content to a given channel. This is a very convenient option if you want to set the same publication time for multiple channels or attach the same image to them. In this case, you enter all the settings only once.
This time, we're only publishing on LinkedIn. In the lower right corner of the editor, you'll see the maximum number of characters you have left.
Notice the three small icons below the editing window. In HubSpot, you can search for and add emojis directly, and insert links to your website and landing pages. HubSpot will automatically pull in the appropriate description and image related to the page you’re sharing, which you can see in the preview on the right.
The last icon lets you use HubSpot's built-in AI tools . Don't have an idea for a text? Enter a topic, and the AI assistant will suggest an entry that you can modify to suit your needs.

Adding resources
If you don’t share any of your pages, it’s time to add the right multimedia to your text. For LinkedIn posts, HubSpot recently introduced new features that let you post not only images and videos but also PDFs and surveys from within the platform. This is a significant improvement, allowing you to conveniently use multiple formats without having to add them directly to LinkedIn.
Adding LinkedIn documentsAdding alternative texts
We can easily edit the added media. Be sure to enter the document titles and alt texts for the images. In HubSpot, you can do this easily, the same for all platforms, by hovering over the "T" icon on your image thumbnail.
Post publication
The post is ready. Now you can choose whether you want to publish it right away or schedule it for later.
Below the publication date option, you can also decide who you are targeting your post to using 7 criteria. This will ensure that your publication reaches the right target group.
Finally, you can indicate the marketing campaign you want to assign the post to (if you want your post to be part of one of the campaigns you run in HubSpot).
Publishing OptionsTargeting options
Once all the necessary parameters are set, you can add the publication to the schedule by clicking "Schedule" or save the draft, for example for review by other team members.
You'll see your scheduled posts in your calendar once you've finished editing. To see it, select "Calendar" in your post management dashboard.
