Our Journey to Certification
There are strict standards that app partners must meet to be certified by HubSpot. These requirements are divided into four categories:

Each category comes with specific criteria that Rasayel needed to satisfy.

This included domain security, user data security, and other measures and best practices required by HubSpot.
Reliability & performance were next on the list: Our app had to demonstrate stable and efficient operation, with an average success rate above 95% across all activities. Using the latest versions of HubSpot’s APIs was mandatory. We needed to prove that our app could manage user data responsibly, avoiding excessive API calls and being efficient in handling data.
Usability & accessibility focused on user experience: We organized our documentation to be clear and comprehensive, making it easy for users to navigate Rasayel’s HubSpot integration. This included updating screenshots, maintaining correct branding, and following HubSpot’s documentation guidelines.
Our HubSpot marketplace listing had to be up to date, with accurate descriptions of functionality, data flows, and pricing.
Value: Our integration needed to have at least 60 active, unique businesses using it, with recent successful activity.
The process required close collaboration with the HubSpot team. After submitting our application, the team’s feedback highlighted areas needing improvement. We addressed these issues and eventually received certification on the 12th of July (for which I danced on LinkedIn
