Google opens offices in El Salvador to boost its modernization

These are the first offices of the technology giant in Central America, in a multi-million dollar agreement that is expected to last for the next seven years.
Recently, the government of El Salvador and Google announced the start of operations of the company in the Central American country. This is an agreement that also includes the opening of a data center.
“One announcement I will make, but it will be later, is the pakistan number screening installation of a data center in El Salvador. It is a multimillion-dollar investment by Google in our country, but it is not now,” said President Nayib Bukele during the inauguration of the Google office.
A 7-year agreement: Google opens offices in El Salvador
An agreement signed by Bukele and Google Cloud in 2023 committed the Silicon Valley giant to install its Distributed Cloud (GDC) and a cloud center of excellence in the country. The opening of the office is the first step in a collaboration that is expected to last seven years.

Eduardo López, president of Google Cloud for Latin America, participated in the inauguration of the office in the capital San Salvador. Bukele stressed that Google's arrival is part of an ongoing transformation in El Salvador.
“We are on the path to having the country we all want and the transformations taking place in El Salvador are so real that not only Salvadorans see it, which is the most important thing for us, but now it is also being seen by investors abroad and the main companies in the world.”
“The law to promote technological innovation and manufacturing makes us more competitive and over time we will be the most competitive country for investments in technology,” Bukele added.
