What happened to Taylor Swift searches?
On Wednesday, sexually explicit AI-generated images began circulating on social media sites, particularly gaining traction on X. One image of the megastar was viewed 47 million times during the roughly 17 hours it was live on X before being removed on Thursday.

Deepfake detection group Reality Defender told The Associated Press it tracked dozens of unique images that were shared with millions of people online before being removed.
X has banned Swift searches and queries related to photos, instead displaying an error message. A scenario that once again shows the problem that Elon Musk's platform faces regarding explicit adult content.
Instagram and Threads, while both allow Swift searches, display a warning message when specifically searching for images.
