Virtual cats and dogs: pets are coming to the metaverse (and they're equipped with AI)

Post by tasnimsanika69 »

The pets we love in the real world will soon be making their way into the metaverse, too—where we’ll likely be spending more and more time in the years to come. DatChat has announced that Habytat , a metaverse operated by the company that will soon be released, will include dogs and cats as pets.

At Habytat, animal lovers can look after their virtual pets and perhaps reminisce about the times when they played at being the loving “parents” of the Tamagotchi of the 90s. However, Habytat’s virtual pets boast of being much more sophisticated than Tamagotchi, being modelled in great detail in 3D and also equipped with AI.

Habytat, which claims to be the first social network 100% integrated into the metaverse , will be launched this spring. The central hub of this platform will be the digital city "Geniuz City" , where users will have the chance to go out with their friends, go shopping or shake their hips in the club (among many other possibilities).

Initially there will only be dogs and cats as pets, but later Habytat users will also be able to adopt tigers or monkeys.
As in other metaverses, in Habytat users will be able to buy virtual plots of land, rent apartments and customize their avatar's outfit with multiple items of clothing and accessories (after paying first). However, the main differentiating point of Habytat is perhaps that users will have the opportunity to adopt pets.

And just like in the real world, pets adopted on Habytat will start out as cute little creatures and lebanon number screening will grow into adulthood, learning all the time from their owners . These virtual pets will also need food and attention from their owners to survive. And their owners are expected to provide them with, in addition to affection, lots of pampering in the form of virtual accessories and toys (which will of course cost money, of a virtual nature, but money nonetheless). Datchat assures that users will be able to forge really deep bonds with their virtual pets.

On the Habytat website, users can currently vote on which breeds of dogs and cats they would like to see available on the platform when it finally goes live this spring.

In addition, the DatChat subsidiary has promised to add more special animals to its catalogue of pets. And those who wish to do so can emulate the histrionic Joe Exotic by adopting tigers, lions, giraffes or monkeys.

The introduction of pets into Habytat is proving to be an extraordinarily smart move by DatChat in terms of business. After all, pets will move users to potentially invest a lot of money in them. And the emotional bond with their four-legged friends will also compel users to frequently venture into the metaverse to treat their pets to the proper care.
