Resilience, proactivity, creativity and leadership skills are some of the characteristics that successful entrepreneurs have. All of these are now known as soft skills . However, possessing these talents is not something innate. Now, thanks to technology, it is possible to expose your brain to different types of experiences or challenges to promote its development, making you a better entrepreneur and more effective in your project.
This is the Social Tech Labt initiative, by Youth Business Spain (YBS) in collaboration with neoCK , which has launched a network of 15 HUBS or “15 gyms to train entrepreneurs” in different regions with the aim of implementing neoSKILLS, neoCK’s virtual reality tool.
neoSKILLS is a hybrid virtual reality (VR) and experiential training simulator that uses cutting-edge technology to immerse participants in team training, through an ultra-realistic virtual scenario specifically designed to develop crucial skills in the entrepreneurial and professional fields.
It is designed so that people who participate in the experience develop and train skills such as planning, leadership, teamwork or adaptation to change. Participants collaboratively face different challenges that have been pedagogically designed based on a scientific basis and taking into account the behaviors associated with various soft skills and Belbin team roles.
The central premise behind neoSKILLS is the idea that talent is no longer innate , but can be cultivated and trained through experiential exposure to various challenges and simulated situations. neoCK CEO Jesus Martin explains: “We believe that developing soft skills is key in the entrepreneurial environment. With neoSKILLS, we have created a space where people can immerse themselves in ultra-realistic virtual experiences scientifically designed to effectively improve their professional skills.”
The YBS Network currently has 15 gyms located in 11 different cities spread across the regions of bolivia whatsapp lead Galicia, Andalusia, Catalonia, the Basque Country, the Canary Islands and Castilla la Mancha . In these locations, more than 70 professionals have been trained in the technical and pedagogical use of the neoSKILLS social technology tool, with the aim of putting it into practice with groups of entrepreneurs. This approach will undoubtedly have a multiplying effect on the impact and scope of the action, as many entrepreneurs will be able to access and participate in this immersive experience this year.
A project to revitalize geographical contexts affected by depopulation
YBS promotes the development of an ecosystem of local entities throughout the state, including geographical contexts affected by depopulation. These are social economy entities, non-profit, with a territorial scope of action. And it is in this network context that the Social Tech Labt project is launched, financed by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 through the European Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Fund. Its objective is the digital transformation of the entities and the modernization of the processes and intervention itineraries that they implement with their final recipients: entrepreneurs.
The Social Tech Labt Group of Entities is made up of Youth Business Spain, the Ronsel Foundation in Galicia, the Autoocupació Foundation in Catalonia, the Afedes Association in the Canary Islands and Aprofem in Castilla-La Mancha, and also includes the Arrabal Association in Andalusia and the Gaztenpresa Foundation in the Basque Country. All of them are involved in the field of entrepreneurship and employability.
Youth Business Spain (YBS) is a collective initiative that was born from the alliance of social economy entities, whose mission is to provide concrete and effective solutions to one of the most serious problems facing our country: youth unemployment. To do so, it promotes the development of ecosystems that support self-employment and entrepreneurship for young people, with special attention to those who have more difficulties.
