Making posts that go outside your editorial line

Post by mouakter11 »

You probably don't want any of your followers to miss your latest witty and interesting tweet, so you decide to post it 5 times in a row within a 5-hour period. This is a serious mistake that can end up boring people and generate several unfollows.

How to fix:
The ideal is to repeat posts several hours apart (even days) and place a few different posts between each one.

Most of your followers are there because they were attracted by the type of content you share. Don't make the mistake of posting something that is completely out of the ordinary. Let's say you represent a bookstore and you usually share biographies of writers, interesting facts about books, the latest publishing news, and suddenly you post some articles that talk about a very controversial and sensitive topic, with very divided opinions and it has nothing to do with books. You may be looking to start a cyprus email list debate, but instead you could generate a lot of annoyance and lose popularity.

How to fix:
Determine the topics that your content will focus on and stick to them. You may occasionally post something that is a bit off topic, as long as you stick to the same style and do so with your followers' tastes in mind and respecting their ideology.

Promoting the same content across all channels
Every social network is different , and even your followers can vary from one network to another. What might be interesting on Twitter might not be interesting on Facebook. Plus, fans who follow you on every network will get bored of seeing the exact same thing on all of your accounts.

How to fix:
It is valid to share the same content as long as you don't limit yourself to copy-paste. Make a different comment and a photo that adapts to the format of each social network. Likewise, if you are going to "recycle" old content, change the comment for something more current.
