How to get Adobe Campaign Classic Business Practitioner certification

At Digital Response we have certified experts in some of the most important email marketing platforms on the market. In fact, Alejandra, Gabriela and Fran previously told us about their experience taking and obtaining the Salesforce , Oracle Eloqua and Oracle Responys certifications .

In my case, I will explain how I obtained the Adobe Campaign Classic Business Practitioner certification (AD0-E300 ) and what the process was like.


Adobe Campaign Classic , as I said, is a very complete and complex malaysia mobile phone number list

To gain greater knowledge of the platform and also to demonstrate experience in it, there are certifications that specifically accredit marketing professionals who have an optimal command of it. According to Adobe, “being a certified Adobe expert means being able to demonstrate the necessary experience to help customers obtain value from an Adobe solution.”

Specifically, I'll talk about the Adobe Campaign Classic Business Practitioner certification. Unlike the Oracle and Salesforce accreditations my colleagues obtained, in this case it is not mandatory to take a course to sit the exam. However, for people who are not used to using the platform on a daily basis or who do not have a deep command of it, it is advisable to take the training to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully pass the exam.

In my case, I did not take the Adobe training , however, I did take a 4-day Merkle training . At that time we were working with Adobe Campaign Classic 6 and the latest version of the platform was 7, the same one the exam focused on. The Merkle course gave us the necessary tools to see what changes the platform had undergone and to refresh our knowledge.

For those of you who decide to take the Adobe course, there are different modalities:

Once you have successfully completed the course or feel ready to take the exam, it will be time to take it. The test consists of a total of 54 multiple choice questions that you must answer in a maximum of 85 minutes. To pass you will need to answer at least 70% of the answers correctly. The exam can be taken online or in person. If you decide to take it online, as was my case, you must be alone in a room, in silence, with your computer's webcam and microphone on and sharing the screen. As far as the content of the exam is concerned, it revolves around the following points that you must master perfectly:

Campaign Management: knowing how to create and configure campaigns and determine the correct campaign template.
Workflow Management: Being able to interpret campaign requirements and configuration approvals, being able to resolve workflow errors and determine a correct workflow design. Being able to create technical workflows and know how to execute them.
Data Management: Knowing how to import, export and perform data research, along with knowing how to create lists and configure a predefined filter.
Delivery Management: Know how to create and configure shipments, correct approval tests, interpret shipment audits and implement a shipment.
Reporting: Know how to identify the steps necessary to generate deliverability reports, determine the appropriate reports to generate and interpret campaign reports.
Administration: Know how to manage users and folder structures.
If you are thinking about taking your Adobe Campaign Classic Business Practitioner certification , my tips on how to approach this exam would be these:

If you do not have a deep understanding of the platform, I recommend that you take the Adobe course to acquire the necessary knowledge to be able to make optimal use of it and successfully pass the exam.
Keep in mind that practice is everything and it is not something you can study theoretically. Try to do practical exercises and real cases that can help you prepare. Remember that Adobe recommends having two years of experience on the platform to have a better chance of passing the exam.
