Mail.ru Group will be developing it. He said this during a conference with Oksana Shumagina, a teacher from the Nizhny Novgorod region, RIA Novosti reports.

"We are making our own TikTok for schoolchildren, we are making our own social network for schoolchildren. We are making our own video conferencing program. Now we communicate using Zoom, foreign software, but we are making our own, domestic one," said Sergey Kravtsov.

According to the founder of the company "4talk" Sergey Kravtsov, the new application will be created on the basis of domestic developers. Unlike Yandex and Rambler, Mail.ru already has successful projects for creating social networks and they know how to develop them.

“A separate app for schoolchildren is being created so as not to overload the existing TikTok. Schoolchildren will be interested in a separate app with content created specifically for them,” added the 4talk founder.

TikTok is a service for creating and viewing short videos from 15 to 60 seconds. According to Mediascope, the monthly number of TikTok users in Russia reached 20.2 million people in July 2020.
