The other day I spent a few minutes reading an article by a new writer, which left me thinking. He said that he never gave up on finding a publisher for his first novel, but that he also felt a bit embarrassed by the number of times he had tried.

That got me thinking about my own life and experiences. I've had a lot of setbacks throughout my life, and in my work in particular. But I've always tried to learn from each and every one of those circumstances. Perhaps the hardest way to learn.

A good friend once told me that I was like a snack. One of those cyprus business email list little dolls that wobbles from side to side but never falls over.

My job is characterized by having to deal with rejection on a regular basis . In the world of telephone sales or business appointment setting , we are rejected many times a day, but there are always 1 or 2 calls where we are received generously, which makes all the previous rejections worth it.

Online rejection also exists, everywhere, but it may not be as obvious. You can be “unliked”, “unfollowed”, “unsubscribed”, unlinked, or simply ignored.

At that point, do you give up? Do you cave in and accept the rejection? Or can you cope? How many times do you face rejection from the same person? At what point, if any, do you admit that you need to give up?

I invite you to discuss it.
