About the research
For this research, which WUA! will repeat this month, a realistic case was used in which respondents can imagine themselves as best as possible. With this case, they will fulfill their need and surf the internet for the product and service described in the case. The case used for this research is the following:

“You have saved an amount of €17,000 and want to open a suitable savings account for this. Search the internet for a provider who can make this happen.”

A brief overview of the results from this research on multiple indicators:

1 in 5 people choose SNS
Confidence in Independer.nl was high, this was after the takeover by Achmea (January 1, 2012)
Confidence in banks was generally high
Rabobank was not a serious option for more than 1/3 (10 out of 24 respondents)
Green banks score well (Triodos/ASN), especially uruguay phone data on sympathy and Net Promoter Score
9.4 for Independer.nl on amount of information (no2 = 7.5) and other information requests. Top 3 supplemented with sparen.nl and spaarrente.nl – both comparison sites
ABN and Rabo in particular have very unattractive interest rates (4.9 and 5.0)
Independer.nl scores high almost everywhere, except for findability
ASN good on all themes except findability.
Bank of Scotland down from 2 to 8. Triodos from 6 to 15 (ASN success?)
Bank confidence
SNS Bank is fourth in terms of spontaneous name recognition, but nevertheless has the most visited website in the savings sector. 62.5% of respondents visit SNSBank.nl during orientation. The website then performs mainly on the themes Web Image and Trust. 21% of respondents indicate SNS Bank as their favorite. ABN AMRO is visited by 48% of respondents for a savings account. ABN AMRO also scores well on the theme of trust, with a 7.8. Respondents also indicate that they find the website user-friendly. Just like in July 2011, 10% choose an ABN AMRO savings account. Rabobank rises to third place. The bank has the highest spontaneous name recognition. 46% mention Rabobank in advance as a provider of savings accounts. Trust in the provider also appears to play an important role here. Rabobank manages to convince 6% of respondents.
